Prepping for an Oscar-Worthy Event
You don't have to be walking the Red Carpet to want to look and feel your best. Whether it's a black-tie event or lunch with an ex, we all have moments we really want to shine. Here are a few ways to get that all-eyes-on-you gorgeous!
Pass on the Salt
Limit your sodium intake to avoid dehydration and fluid retention. Drink plenty of water and avoid carbonated or alcoholic beverages.
Drink Green and Glow
Green juices, preferably fresh pressed, give your skin an inner glow!
Don't Experiment
It's tempting to try that new miracle-in-a-bottle, especially before a big event, but resist the urge. The last thing you want is an allergic reaction overshadowing your overall amazingness.
The Best Makeup Primer is Smooth Skin
Makeup looks best over skin that is even in both texture and tone. Opt for a treatment that exfoliates and hydrates. Our favorite: The Red Carpet Facial. Book your treatments two weeks prior to your event. Or if you can't come visit us for a treatment, you can use Olga Lorencin's Red Carpet Facial in a Box at home.
Exfoliate Before you Bronze
A little (sunless) bronze can do wonders for a little black dress, but not if you've applied the color to skin that hasn't been exfoliated. To avoid a blotchy mess, slough away dead skin cells with a total body scrub. But keep in mind, if you're tanning immediately after you scrub, opt for one that is light on the oil.
Don't Forget Your Beauty Sleep
Skip the late nights and hit the sack early before you need to look your best. Tired eyes are hard to hide and they never leave a good impression!
